Day 76, 75, 74, 73 Update

Happy Mother’s Day to all those mothers to human and mammal babies! I am a dog mama myself. It has been a busy couple of days, that is why I have not blogged! Much going on at work and in my personal life. All good but hectic.

Sean is sick today, I hope I do not catch it. Later he is taking me to a Lindsey Buckingham concert. Should be fun.Β  So today is day 76 and I did Cardio 1. I just do not like the other cardios. Oh well.

Day 75: I went to work and exercised with the residents. I was busy walking all day at work and using the stairs. I had a movie event and stuff so that was my exercise. I was also feeling poor. It was hot yesterday. My dumb ass put hot pepper cream on my stomach and thighs and it burned for 14 hours ha ha. I also had to go grocery shopping for this week’s menu which I will post shortly after this blog. Sean and I came home and just vegged out to some movies. Needed that after a day like today.

Day 74 was Friday and it was another busy day at work. I decided this was my rest day so I only worked out with Residents. I had to run errands after work so there was just no time to fit a Jilly in. I weighed myself and was quite happy that yesterday’s Old Spaghetti Factory trip did not mess me up.
Day 73: Busy day at work, lunch outing to Old Spaghetti Factory and you can’t really get anything real low in calories there. I had a salad and whole wheat spaghetti with mushroom sauce. I did have a piece of bread because I am an Oakie and I have to sop up the sauce on my plate with something ha ha! I came home and did disc 11.

Day 72

I just did disc 12 for the first time. Wow! I was drenched. I liked it all except for that damn back bend move, I can’t do it. I had to do something else. Same with cannonballs, I do jumping jacks. Except for those two I liked the workout and did well with it. Used the 3, 5, and 8 pound weights as well as the cable.

Tomorrow is Cardio 3, my least favorite cardio. Oh well.

Week 11 Menu

The lunches and dinners for this week came from the cookbook pictured above. I do not think I had to modify any recipes but I do use Honey instead of sugar, whole wheat flours and pasta/grains and low sodium broths and condiments etc.

Breakfast:

I made Sean Blueberry Applesauce Muffins, this recipe is in Jillian Michaels Master Your Metabolism cookbook as Blueberry Banana Muffins. Sean can not have banana.

I am having Carrot Cake Muffins. The recipe is from a 1995 Cooking Light cookbook. I had to modify this somewhat. I also made them full sized muffins and not miniature ones. After recalculation my muffins are 118 calories each.

Lunch

I made Sean the Creamy Chicken Noodle Skillet and I made for myself Cheesy Chicken Skillet Dinner, I also added a half cup of rice toΒ  each serving of this dish as suggested at bottom of recipe page. These meals were both from cookbook pictured above.

Dinner

I made Sean, Dijon Steak Potato Stew and I made for myself Mexican Steak Stir Fry.

Desserts/Snacks

I made a batch of Healthy Chocolate chip cookies ( recipe in recipe section of this blog ) I will be having the trail mix from Jillian’s cookbook as a snack and Sean will have his Greek Yoghurt or an Apple. I am thinking about also getting some Asian Pears to eat. I love those 50 calories each! Crunchy but you have been warned! Very Juicy! This will easily soak up a napkin so have it handy. πŸ™‚

Day 71, 70 and 69 Completed!

Day 69 and 70 were rest days. I have been tired and stressed lately and stupid stuff happens when I get that way. I did all my cooking for week 11 on day 70. I will post menu after this post.

Day 71 had me doing a double whammy to make up for my extra rest day, It just makes me feel better when I do that, I like to make up for it. I did Cardio 1. I prefer this Cardio and then I did disc 11.

Disc 11 is mixed for me. Parts I liked and parts I didn’t. I have never been able to do real good push ups. My elbows do not bend enough and I can’t quite get low enough. So I do what I can. When she get’s to the push ups with the cables it really frustrated me. I couldn’t get a good grasp on the cable and I felt this move really slowed the momentum. It totally screwed with what I was feeling. So I won’t be doing that next time. I can do bear walks good probably cause I am short. Jumping Statue Of Liberty? I attempt a few but yeah not really a favorite one.

She starts off saying this was an evil workout that came from a dark corner of her mind. Eh it isn’t evil at all. At this point you can do most of it. The cable push ups are bullshit though. IMO. πŸ™‚

Tomorrow day 72 I will try disc 12 for the first time. We shall see….

Day 68

I am getting ready to do disc 10 and that one has cannonballs so I do jumping jack’s instead. Those damn cannonballs are hard. I feel like I am gonna hurt myself. I can’t get enough lift worth a damn on them. Tomorrow is rest day. I have to work and go grocery shopping and it is game night so maybe I can dance on the dance pad a bit. I think Sunday I will do Cardio 3 and maybe something else. I don’t know. Have a good weekend!

Day 67 +

Day 67 completed. I did a double whammy again. Cardio 1 and disc 9. I think I will just do disc 10 tomorrow since it will be a busy day! My facility is having huge Cinco De Mayo party so I am sure I will be wore out! Then I think Saturday will be a rest day instead of Sunday. I will do Cardio 3 on Sunday and perhaps another DW on Monday. That will be the first day of disc 11. Uh-oh, I wonder what hell Jillian has in store for the last two disc’s of the system. Hopefully no more cannonballs!

~ Day 66 ~

Day 66! I am about to go do Cardio 3. I think this is my least favorite workout. I really can’t do the cannonballs well. I think I am too short, I can’t quite get the lift. I have been eating good and not eating bad things and I am proud. My boss bought two big boxes of donuts today for the staff as a token of appreciation. In the past I would have been like oh boy here I come mooooooooooove over! Oink!

Not now, sure I like donuts, I have no clue when I will have my next donut but I am sure I will one day when I have met and maintained my goal for awhile. I think people mean well when they buy crap like that for the breakroom but what about the health nut? I would have appreciated some fruit. The donut pigs would graze the fruit too so I would have to get there early.

That is funny to me, the people who eat anything and everything with reckless abandon or common courtesy. Then you got some folks who say oh come on have one, one won’t hurt. UM yeah one will hurt me cause that means more exercise! I just want to do my workout and be done. I have been doing some extra credit but that maple bar would have put me to shame today so I am glad I stayed away.

So I asked the question, are donuts really an appropriate token of appreciation for your fat employee’s? Most of the obese employee’s can’t even afford the companies insurance rates. Why are we always rewarded with donuts, candy and pizza? Cause it’s cheap. You can buy an abundance of nasty food for pennies on the dollar. Hell even a bagel would have been better than a damn donut.

I miss the 80’s! Everyone worked out, people were more fit. The 90’s had to come along and start super sizing things. 2000’s? We have some of the most gross looking people now. All these health problems. Yeah and I am not talking about the one’s with legitimate health issues. I am talking about the I don’t care what the hell I eat, I hate exercise folk. I hate shopping on the first so I can see these nasty people on assistance fill their cart’s to the rim with junky processed crap.

I think that the people who have too many babies and who do not work that get assistance should be forced to cook from scratch! If people cooked more and gave a shit we would be a healthier country.

Day 65 ~

Ive always liked the cover for that one Sean! I just finished another Double Whammy workout! I did disc 10 of BR and Cardio 1 of BR. Tomorrow I will do Cardio 3 and I think that is it. I have a busy day tomorrow at work and I will be running around. Also walking a mile to work and a half hour chair exercise session with the residents! If I did a DW tomorrow I would probably die. πŸ™‚

I have a semi vacation coming up so I putting the petal to the metal and I hope to achieve desired results in 30 days!!! I think I can, I think I can…

Day 63 & 64

Yesterday was day 63 and it was technically rest day but I decided to do Cardio one. Today is day 64 and I am off today so I decided to do a double whammy that consisted of Workout 1 of 30 day shread and disc 9 of Phase 3 of Body Revolution. It feels good to workout and I do look forward to it more now than I used to but it is hard. I think getting back in shape is one of the hardest things I have ever done in the last 12 years. It is so hard that there is no way I will pork out again because I never want to get back into shape again. I want to stay in shape and maintain! Tomorrow day 65 disc 10. I feel like getting up early tomorrow and doing her Yoga DVD but wrestling is on till 11:00. If I can get out of bed at 5:30 I will. We shall see.

Day 62

A 1962 Film

I got up and put myΒ Parmesan chicken in the oven and I started my workout which was Cardio 3. That one wears me out, makes much noise and makes me sweat the most! I am going to try out a cleansing conditioner shortly and if I love it I will rave about it here. I got my hair reshaped yesterday, a long four month overdue haircut! Trying to do what I can to look good for my trip back east at the end of next month. Tomorrow is rest day and I am sure glad it is!

Later I am going to get an iced coffee, go to Trader Joe’s for more juice and Safeway for more seltzer water and I need to go to Ross and see if I can find a few clothing items. I think tomorrow we will be home bound doing our relax thing!
